When is Nail Surgery Needed?

Types of Nail Surgery
1. Partial Nail Avulsion (PNA)
Only the affected portion of the nail is removed.
Often combined with phenolisation to prevent regrowth.
2. Total Nail Avulsion (TNA)
Entire nail is removed if the whole nail plate is affected.
3. Nail Matrixectomy
Destruction or removal of the nail root (matrix) to prevent regrowth in chronic or recurring cases.
